Top Beauty Influencers on Instagram

Makeup artists, Hair stylists, Nail Artists, Aestheticians…..What do they all have in common? They are all creative artists that express their art by beautifying the world, one client at a time. As a beauty enthusiast, I am beyond excited to see the transformations that have occurred in the beauty industry over the past several years. In the past, editors and magazines were the be all and end all in beauty. Today, with Instagram and Twitter, social media influencers, bloggers and vloggers are leading the way and playing an even bigger role in big brand marketing strategy. No more waiting for monthly publications, I can login and find an unlimited amount of product recommendations, inspiration, follow the hottest trends and watch step-by-step tutorials on how to get the look I want. I love it!

The success of digital influencers, bloggers and vloggers lies in their ability to use their platform to create loyal and engaged fans that trust their credibility over traditional advertising campaigns. The top influencers have mastered a way to get their millions of viewers to “know, like and trust them” by being AUTHENTIC and SHARING, SHARING, SHARING. They know that the key to gaining and keeping followers is by consistently adding value to their loyal tribe. If you want to create your own loyal fans and grow your business then I highly suggest you take a look at these influencers and instead of just being captivated by their work and beautiful images, dissect their page/channel to see how they have grown their brand. You want to look at the type of content they post, how often they share, how they connect with their audience, what hashtags they use, their branding and marketing strategy, how they cross promote with other influencers and brands and how they attract new followers in by sharing across various platforms (i.e. YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Periscope, Pinterest, etc.). One of my favorite people to follow is success strategist Tony Robbins, who says “Success leaves clues, if you want to be successful find someone that is doing what you want to do and model them.” This does not mean to copy them, but rather model what they are doing in your own unique way, because no two people have the same value to offer. You have your own unique voice and gifts to share with the world, but you can learn from those who have already journeyed on the road before; after-all everyone starts somewhere.

There are so many great influencers online, but here are just a few that I love and welcome you to follow, if you aren’t already. When you are looking at their pages or channels, remember these questions “What do they share?, How do they consistently add value?, What do they do to attain new followers? (contests, cross-promotions, Facebook ads, features on other people’s pages, etc.) These things are all major keys, and you don’t have to just look at those who are already mega successful. It is also great to look at artists who are just a few levels up from yourself to compare the differences in what they are doing to up-level themselves.
